Catering Brand Identity
Heading
OBJECTIVES
Welcome to our case study for the brand identity of Wild Cats Catering Company, a Seattle-based Filipino-inspired catering company owned by Chef Melissa Miranda. Our objectives for this project were to create a unique and recognizable visual identity that would accurately reflect Miranda's culinary vision, while also differentiating the company from competitors and attracting new customers. This is our third successful collaboration with Miranda, having previously rebranded her fine dining restaurant Musang and casual dining concept Kilig.
project Goals
STRATEGY
Our brand strategy for Wild Cats Catering Company focused on positioning them as a leading catering company in the highly competitive Seattle foodie scene by emphasizing their niche in home-cooked Filipino food. By creating a distinctive brand identity that highlighted their unique cuisine and memorable visual elements, we helped them stand out and appeal to their target audience.

IDENTITY
To reflect the vintage baseball branding theme of the catering company, we developed a brand kit containing multiple logos. We designed a wild cat illustrated brandmark to showcase the brand's wild side, in addition to a hand-drawn script wordmark and lettermark. To evoke baseball nostalgia, we crafted a flag and baseball patch logo.

TYPOGRAPHY AND COLOUR
To complement the vintage baseball-inspired brand identity of the catering company, we selected Neuzeit Grotesk as the typeface for headings and body copy. It is elegant, playful, and stylish, characteristics that align with the Filipino catering brand. For the color palette, we crafted a vintage take on the classic American red, white, and blue to evoke nostalgia and a sense of familiarity.
