The challenge
The challenge was to create a brand identity to make non alcoholic beverages feel familiar and fun. In our competitor analysis we noticed other non alcoholic bottle shops felt cold and intimidating. We wanted to create a brand that felt more like a welcoming local general store that leant itself to an inviting retail experience.

Process
After a thorough deep dive into the Burden of Proof purpose, voice, target demographic, and competition, our goal was to create an identity system that felt elevated, curated, yet still down to earth and humble. The brand appeals to the sober curious, the sober serious and all in between.

Solution
To achieve Burden Of Proof’s desired brand identity, we crafted a hand-drawn logotype and graphic icons that personify the brand's welcoming, authentic, and down-to-earth nature. We drew inspiration from old general store’s and their nostalgic shop front slogans. With big, bold, blocky, hand painted style types and vintage signage colour palette the Burden Of Proof modern yet timeless brand identity was born.
